Introduction: I'm drawn to the title and I am really hoping that this book is what I think it is. Nowadays where fat-shaming is so common, I would really love a heroine that is comfortable with her own body and is not made to fit into the typical stereotypes we see in most stories. I also found out that this is the second book, so I guess I will just have to start with this and work my way backwards (if I love the story).
Overview: Thanks to her bangin' curves, Valerie Carmichael has always turned heads-with the exception of seriously sexy Logan Mathis. Just Valerie's luck that the object of her lust-filled affection is also best friends with her overprotective brother. But Valerie's determined to get Logan's attention . . . even if it means telling a teeny little lie to get a job at his new bar.
Logan can't remember a time when Valerie didn't secretly fuel all his hottest fantasies. Now the curvaceous she-devil is working behind his bar, tempting him every damn night. It's only when he finds Valerie's naughty things-to-do list that Logan decides to break every rule in the book-by making each red-hot deed a reality.
No one warned them that they were going to fall this hard. And no one warned them that sometimes the smallest secrets can have the biggest consequences.
My Opinion: Well, not quite what I expected. There was just too much unnecessary drama. I wish there were more to the characters, especially Val and Logan. But I really found it difficult to like them to begin with. The build up on Val is excessive, I feel like she was placed on a pedestal to the point of unrealistic. Logan was okay at first, but my interest died because I felt like he was overly dramatic and predictable. Halfway it felt like I was wasting my time, until I got to the sex scenes where it was steamy and vivid and funny that it made me laugh. So I decided to continue and see how it'll go. The ending is forced and oversimplified, but well, at least its a happy one.
Its a very easy read if you want a book that you can pick up, read fast and let go. I honestly think other people will enjoy this book, so don't let my opinion stop you from checking it out.
